The Department of Revenue is completing the first comprehensive agricultural revaluation in over 30 years.  Although production values had been updated, classification and the productivity of the various land classes by county had remained constant.  The department has produced a wealth of information for agricultural and timber land owners.  An agricultural advisory committee met during the interim to provide suggestions and guidance to the Department.  They produced a final report that was released on December 9 .

A press release on December 10 explaining the process of how the department would begin notifying landowners

On December 11 the department began mailing maps and FAQs to the approximate 25,000 landowners.  They expect the process to continue for the next 12 weeks

Landowners are encouraged to take the time and reveiw the information and contact the department if they have questions

Irrigated ag land owners are highly encouraged to complete the questionnaire they will be receiving along with the maps.  Irrigated ag land valuations are affected by energy, labor and water availability.  The department utilizes producer information to make adjustments to the final value
