The 2009 Legislature will be evaluating various proposals to implement new values on Class 4 (residential and commercial real property), Class 3 (agricultural land) and Class 10 (forest lands). During the 2007-2008 Interim, members of the HB488 Subcommittee of the Revenue and Transportion Interim Committee, studied the issue but did not come to a suggested approach as the reappraisal numbers were still preliminary.
On December 8, Chairman Jim Peterson appointed a joint committee to continue to review the preliminary numbers and to study alternatives and make recommendations to the 2009 Legislature.
