Setting the Record Straight on Tax Policy
Below are documents regarding the May 2007 Special Legislative Session.
The first, is an editorial by Representative Bob Lake sent to the press on May 23rd. Representative Lake shares many of the concerns our association held throughout the Session.
The second, is a letter form Represenative Bob Lake to the Director of Revenue requesting all material used by the department in answering a letter from Representative Jill Cohenour. This letter was submitted to the House Taxation Committee on the last day of the Special Session. The letter insunuated many of the out-of-state members of business lobbying groups have engaged in reportable or listed transactions.
The third, is the letter from the Deparmtment of Revenue to Represenative Jill Cohenour.
We applaud Representative Lake's response to another attack on the business commuinty by the department.
